Details of the Job/Internship

Nexus 3P Foundation is hiring for the position of Environmental Advocacy & Legal Mobilization Intern to join their office in Delhi.

• Type: Full-time (preferred) / Part-time (for students).
• Compensation: ₹15,000–₹25,000/month (Paid) or Unpaid (with mentorship & certification).
• Duration: 3–6 months.
• Location: Remote (with optional hybrid in Delhi).

Role and Responsibilities

1. Map India’s Environmental Legal Heroes:

• Research and profile lawyers, NGOs, and activists behind landmark environmental cases (e.g., Vedanta, Sterlite, Ganga pollution).

2. Build the Green Lawyers Network:

• Identify and connect with young, idealistic lawyers, law students, and academics committed to environmental justice.

3. Policy & Campaign Support:

• Draft petitions, white papers, and op-eds on pressing issues such as plastic waste, air quality, and climate resilience.

4. Organize Advocacy Initiatives:

• Assist in planning webinars, roundtables, and workshops with legal experts, policymakers, and grassroots leaders.

5. Global Benchmarking:

• Study successful environmental advocacy models (e.g., NRDC, ClientEarth) and adapt strategies for India.

Eligibility

• Education: Background in law, environmental policy, or social activism (students and recent graduates welcome).
• Skills: Strong research and writing skills; familiarity with NGT, EPA, or climate laws is a plus.
• Passion: A genuine interest in environmental justice and public-interest law.
• Mindset: A self-starter unafraid to challenge the status quo and advocate for systemic change.
