Details of the Job/Internship
Bullsmart is hiring for the position of Exchange Compliance Officer with 3-4 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure strict adherence to SEBI regulations, circulars, and exchange/depository guidelines.
- Monitor transactions under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) norms and report suspicious activity.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports (e.g., KYC updates, margin trading, financial disclosures).
- Coordinate internal audits, exchange inspections, and system audits (SAR), including physical/digital report submissions.
- Manage and report Bulk Deals to NSCCL.
- Activate/manage trading terminals: NEAT, TWS, CTCL, IBT across NSE, BSE, MCX-SX, and USEIL.
- Accurately compute and report client margins and funding positions.
- Ensure proper client documentation before executing margin trading.
- Handle Pay-In and Pay-Out operations for funds and securities across CM, F&O, and CDS segments.
- Conduct daily client margin reporting for F&O and Currency to NSCCL.
- Maintain and operate RMS and surveillance systems, including file uploads and real-time monitoring.
- Communicate updates in constituent structures to exchanges.
- Keep KYC documents and client records up to date with evolving regulatory norms.
- Oversee back-office accounting and DP operations for CM, F&O, CDS, Mutual Funds, and CDSL accounts.
- Implement and operationalize SEBI circulars and exchange communications.
- Ensure trade reconciliation, timely settlements (T+1/T+2), and processing of client transactions.
Eligibility
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Law, or related fields.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in regulatory compliance within a stockbroking or financial services firm.
- In-depth knowledge of SEBI, NSE, BSE, MCX, CDSL/NSDL regulations.
- Proficiency in using NEAT, TWS, CTCL, RMS, and related back-office systems.
- Strong understanding of KYC, AML guidelines, and settlement cycles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
