Details of the Job/Internship

AOPL is hiring an Executive – Commercial Contracts with 2–5 years of experience to support its commercial operations through legal advisory.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, analyse, and redline purchase orders, service orders, and commercial contracts.
• Draft contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and commercial terms.
• Maintain and update standard contract templates.
• Ensure documents are legally enforceable and aligned with company policies.
• Identify legal, financial, and operational risks in agreements.
• Provide risk summaries and mitigation recommendations.
• Flag unfavourable clauses related to liability, indemnity, IP, payments, and termination.
• Maintain a contract risk register.
• Support and advise during negotiations with suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate with counterpart legal teams and external counsel.
• Conduct internal awareness sessions on contract risks and compliance.
• Update teams on changes in commercial and regulatory laws.
• Advise on statutory requirements related to procurement and vendor management.

Eligibility

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial contracts or in-house advisory roles.
• Strong understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
• Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts independently.
• Excellent written communication skills with ability to simplify legal concepts.
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, or supply chain industries preferred.
• Knowledge of Indian Contract Act, Sale of Goods Act, and MSME regulations preferred.
• Exposure to contract lifecycle management tools is an advantage.

Salary/Stipend
