Details of the Job/Internship
Mafatlal Industries Limited is hiring an Executive Corporate Lawyer with 3–4 years of experience to join their legal team at the Churchgate office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, vet, and negotiate a wide range of corporate and commercial agreements.
- Manage litigation by coordinating with external advocates, preparing briefs, and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Support corporate transactions through legal drafting and research.
- Monitor updates in corporate laws and ensure compliance.
- Advise internal teams on legal issues affecting business decisions.
- Collaborate with departments such as Finance, HR, and Compliance to align legal with business goals.
- Maintain a legal MIS to track contracts, cases, and compliance.
- Liaise with external counsel and prepare case briefs.
- Handle additional legal matters as assigned by senior management.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a recognized institution.
- 3–4 years of experience in corporate law, preferably in a reputed law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance, securities regulations, and commercial contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and sound professional judgment.
