Details of the Job/Internship
Bureau Veritas is hiring an Executive – Legal to handle legal functions, statutory compliance, and advisory responsibilities at its Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and review agreements such as Lease Deeds, Leave and License Agreements, Service Contracts, NDAs, MOUs, Trust Deeds, Power of Attorney, LOIs, and contracts with customers, vendors, and clients.
- Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders and departments.
- Liaise with lawyers to track litigation and arbitration progress, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of cases.
- Validate documentation related to business deals for legal compliance.
- Advise on compliance with business contracts and consequences of breaches.
- Update MIS of litigation matters regularly.
- Assist the General Counsel in various projects.
- Implement and support the company’s compliance program.
Eligibility
- Knowledge of procedural laws (CPC, CrPC) and substantive laws (IPC, economic offenses statutes).
- Experience in corporate legal advisory, contract management, and litigation support.
