Details of the Job/Internship
The EPIC Company is hiring an Executive – Legal with 1 to 2 years of experience to join their office in Jogeshwari, Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Providing end-to-end legal support across film and television development and production.
- Negotiating and drafting talent agreements and above-the-line contracts.
- Handling co-production agreements, rights acquisition, licensing, and literary option or purchase agreements.
- Managing content exploitation deals across platforms.
- Reviewing and perfecting chain of title and assessing third-party rights and obligations.
- Conducting IP and content clearances during pre-development stages.
- Drafting and reviewing marketing and promotional contracts, including product placements and co-branding agreements.
- Overseeing contract execution and administration.
- Maintaining detailed project status reports.
- Supporting litigation through legal research and preparation of briefing materials.
- Working closely with the Head of Legal on key matters.
Eligibility
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the Media and Entertainment sector.
- Strong background in Intellectual Property Rights.
- Candidates must be based in Mumbai.
