Details of the Job/Internship

Trelleborg Group is hiring an Export and Legal Assistant with 3–5 years of experience to support their Legal team in Bengaluru. The role involves ensuring compliance with international trade laws and providing administrative assistance across export and legal functions for the Asia Pacific region.

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR) and export control laws.
• Assist in timely review of export trade approval requests through in-house digital systems.
• Review and advise on export documentation including licenses and end-use certificates.
• Monitor changes in trade laws and assist in updating internal compliance procedures.
• Support internal audits related to export compliance.
• Prepare reports related to export trade approval statistics.
• Update director changes, capital changes, and entity name changes into the internal software system.
• Assist in document circulation for signatures across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the US.
• Manage expense documentation and organize legal files in the internal software system.
• Advise internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters, including import/export classifications, licensing, and sanctions screening.

Eligibility

• Graduation/Post Graduation in any discipline, preferably Bachelor or Master of Commerce.
• 3–5 years of experience in export compliance or legal support within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Preferred: Certification in Export Compliance.
• Preferred: Experience with dual-use goods or defense-related exports.

Salary/Stipend
