Details of the Job/Internship
Adab Singh Kapoor & Associates (ASK) is hiring for the position of Family Law Advocate with 2-3 years of experience to join their office in remotely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients before Karnataka High Court and District Courts in Bengaluru, particularly in:
- Family Law: Divorce, domestic violence, maintenance, and custody matters
- Civil Law: General civil litigation and related proceedings
- Draft a wide range of pleadings and documents including:
- Writ petitions, appeals, revision petitions, transfer petitions
- Complaints, affidavits, suits, replies, rejoinders, and written submissions
- Conduct in-depth legal research using tools such as Manupatra, SCC Online, etc.
- Assist with due diligence, as well as drafting and vetting of contracts and agreements.
Eligibility
- LLB degree (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience and demonstrated interest in Family and Civil Law.
- Willingness to work across other practice areas as needed.
- Strong command of English (spoken and written), including excellent drafting and advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in the local language (Kannada) is essential.
- Legal publications or contributions to journals/websites will be considered an added advantage.
