While both had different encounters with the tea, the idea behind sharing this immortal elixir with the people of India was similar. Akul got familiar with the drink on his trip to London while Vidit first tasted it in Australia. Both were completely intrigued with the drink in terms of its benefits and taste.
Details of the Job/Internship
Toyo Kombucha is looking for a finance manager with 6 to 10 years of experience to join them at their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly financial models and forecasts.
- Track GMV, revenue, margins, and contribution by channel (Blinkit, Zepto, GT, Amazon, etc.).
- Analyze SKU-level profitability and pricing strategy.
- Provide data-backed recommendations to improve margins and reduce costs.
- Monitor daily cash flow and liquidity.
- Optimize working capital cycle (inventory, receivables, payables).
- Ensure timely collections from distributors and platforms.
- Manage vendor payments without impacting operations.
- Oversee bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Ensure GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with CA for filings, audits, and tax planning.
- Maintain clean and audit-ready financial records.
- Track inventory valuation and movement.
- Analyze cost of production (COGS) and suggest improvements.
- Open POs vs fulfilled.
- GRN vs dispatch tracking.
- Platform-wise profitability.
- Create SOPs for finance workflows.
Eligibility
Strong understanding of:
- Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Unit economics (especially FMCG).
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (mandatory).
- Experience with inventory-heavy businesses.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to build systems from scratch.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA/CMA/MBA (Finance).
Experience in:
- 6–10 years (FMCG/Startup preferred).
- FMCG/D2C/Food & Beverage.
- Quick commerce or retail distribution.
- Familiarity with:
- Tally/Zoho/ERP systems.
- Data tools/dashboards.
Salary/Stipend
