Details of the Job/Internship
Liberis is hiring a Financial Crime Associate to join their team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct initial reviews of alerts generated from transaction monitoring systems.
- Perform customer due diligence and support enhanced due diligence where required.
- Screen customers and transactions against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media lists.
- Support investigation of fraud cases by analysing account activity and verifying customer information.
- Escalate suspicious activity with clear rationale.
- Maintain accurate and complete case records in line with audit and regulatory expectations.
- Assist with periodic reviews of existing customers to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Follow internal policies and risk frameworks consistently.
Eligibility
- Basic understanding of financial crime risks including AML, fraud, and sanctions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Willingness to learn and develop in financial crime compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
