Details of the Job/Internship

KPMG is hiring a Financial & Legal Consultant with 5+ years of experience to join the Government & Public Sector Digital Government Advisory team in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform periodic account reconciliations, including payment gateway transactions, EMD, tender fees, and refunds.
• Review applicable laws, regulations, and contractual documents, and identify legal and regulatory risks.
• Draft MoUs, contracts, agreements, and RFP documents.
• Prepare and review procurement documents and support contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement norms and guidelines and assist in vendor evaluation and selection.
• Ensure adherence to financial, tax, and corporate compliance requirements and monitor audit processes.
• Support budget preparation, fund allocation, expenditure tracking, and financial performance monitoring.
• Identify legal risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and support dispute resolution when required.
• Prepare financial, legal, and compliance reports and develop documentation standards.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, and project teams and facilitate stakeholder communication.
• Conduct training sessions and prepare SOPs and training materials.
• Support additional accounting tasks and contribute to process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Relevant graduation, MBA in Finance, CA, CFA, CS, or ICWA.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, tax regulations, and planning.
• Prior IT sector experience is preferred.
• Government project experience is preferred.

Salary/Stipend
