Details of the Job/Internship
Portonovo is hiring a Freelance Legal Counsel – Apps, Contracts & Compliance to support their digital/app business on a contract basis.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and maintain legal documents such as Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and subscription terms.
- Handle app-store compliance including Play Store and App Store policies and disclosures.
- Advise on digital product compliance and legal risks.
- Manage copyright, trademark, and brand protection matters.
- Review and negotiate vendor, freelancer, licensing, and commercial agreements.
- Draft and negotiate contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
- Track legal timelines, filings, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Provide legal support to the business team and assist in building compliance systems.
- Handle additional legal and compliance-related tasks as required.
Eligibility
- Relevant experience in contracts, consumer-facing businesses, startups, or compliance advisory.
- Strong drafting skills and business understanding.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with specialist counsel.
- High attention to detail and strong execution skills.
- Commercial awareness and cost-conscious approach.
