National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) is an umbrella organization of all Renewable Energy stakeholders of India. This apex RE organization works in the area of policy advocacy and is a National Platform for addressing all issues connected with renewable energy growth in India. It consists of leading international, National and regional companies and includes Solar Developers, Manufacturers, EPC Contractors, Rooftop Installers, System integrators, and Balance of Plant suppliers and manufacturers, Small and Medium Enterprises and works in a complimentary manner with the Central and State Governments for achieving India’s national solar target of 500GW by 2030.
Details of the Job/Internship
National Solar Energy Federation of India is inviting applications for the position of Gender Policy Intern to join them at their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing reports, policy briefs, and concept notes on women’s participation in renewable energy.
- Conduct secondary research on global best practices, capacity-building models, and inclusivity frameworks.
- Draft communication material including newsletters, social media content, and event summaries.
- Support implementation of ongoing WISE activities, including workshops, training programmes, and stakeholder discussions.
- Assist with monitoring and documentation of progress, outcomes, and participant feedback.
- Aid in planning and executing WISE events, panel discussions, and outreach programmes.
- Coordinate with internal teams, speakers, and partners for smooth event operations.
- Maintain communication with members, partner organisations, and participants.
- Help develop databases and assist with outreach to new collaborators.
- Maintain records, draft minutes, and support internal coordination.
- Assist in any other tasks relevant to the initiative’s goals.
Eligibility
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Gender Studies, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong research and writing abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated interest in gender issues, renewable energy, or social-impact work.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with data analysis is an advantage.
- Past experience in gender and inclusivity studies is a bonus.
- Proficiency in social media communication and content creation is a plus.
Salary/Stipend
Monthly stipend: ₹10,000 (as per NSEFI internship guidelines).
