Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate in the Corporate and M&A team with experience of 0–2 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide advisory on corporate laws, regulatory and sectoral laws, and compliance matters.
- Handle assignments independently from start to finish, including negotiations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in law and jurisprudence.
- Deliver work products within specified timelines, including under tight deadlines.
- Interact with clients confidently and manage client relationships.
- Train and coach junior associates.
- Contribute to business development in line with agreed business plans.
- Participate in knowledge management and contribute to internal and external publications.
- Ensure adherence to the firm’s policies and ethical standards.
Eligibility
- A five-year law degree from a reputed university with a strong academic record.
- LLM, CA, or CS qualifications are an added advantage.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in corporate practice at a reputed law firm.
- Strong understanding of Indian corporate and commercial laws.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Tech-savvy with efficient computer usage.
- High standards of integrity, honesty, and professional ethics.
