Hitachi Rail is hiring a General Counsel and Company Secretary for their Bengaluru office. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- Taking conduct of significant Indian- and APAC-based legal matters.
- Supervising a team of 2 other Indian-based lawyers.
- Interfacing with senior management of Indian Hitachi Rail entity as well as other senior members of the legal team located outside of India.
- CoSec.
- Interpreting, negotiating and closing out complex deals for the Rail Sector Business Unit in India and Asia Pac.
- Interpreting and guiding senior management in relation to regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Taking conduct of significant arbitrations and litigations.
- Interacting with the compliance function.
- PQE of 15-25 years.
- Preferably with experience at an international industrial conglomerate.
Eligibility
- Significant commercial experience (5+ years) working in complex, multi-discipline Companies.
- Law Degree from a reputable University.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple key stakeholders displaying highly polished interpersonal and communication skills.
- Agile mindset, able to take prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work and lead in a multicultural environment.
- Strong working relationships with technology providers.
- A degree in engineering or equivalent.
