Details of the Job/Internship
Hindustan Zinc is seeking a seasoned General Counsel to oversee legal functions and support its growth-driven business operations in Udaipur.
Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as lead legal advisor across all business functions.
- Manage contract negotiations, due diligence, compliance frameworks, and litigation.
- Develop and implement legal risk management practices.
- Proactively mitigate legal risks from internal and external stakeholders including customers, contractors, and employees.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular legal compliance reports to management and the board.
- Train and counsel line managers on legal obligations and risk awareness.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the Indian legal system and ensure legal strategy aligns with business objectives.
Eligibility
- In-depth knowledge of Indian legal systems.
- Strong leadership in legal risk management and litigation.
- Significant experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.
