Details of the Job/Internship

Hindustan Zinc is seeking a seasoned General Counsel to oversee legal functions and support its growth-driven business operations in Udaipur.

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as lead legal advisor across all business functions.
• Manage contract negotiations, due diligence, compliance frameworks, and litigation.
• Develop and implement legal risk management practices.
• Proactively mitigate legal risks from internal and external stakeholders including customers, contractors, and employees.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular legal compliance reports to management and the board.
• Train and counsel line managers on legal obligations and risk awareness.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Indian legal system and ensure legal strategy aligns with business objectives.

Eligibility

• In-depth knowledge of Indian legal systems.
• Strong leadership in legal risk management and litigation.
• Significant experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.
