Details of the Job/Internship
Ampersand Group is hiring a General Manager Legal with 10 years of experience to join their office in Malad, Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Litigation Management: Coordinate with solicitors and advocates to implement legal strategies and vet all pleadings.
- Court Procedures: Ensure the timely filing of documents before Courts, Tribunals, and Authorities while maintaining a Management Information System (MIS).
- Non-Litigation Advisory: Resolve day-to-day queries, prepare replies to external communications, and conduct research on education-related case laws.
- Contract Drafting: Prepare and finalize property documents, including sale deeds, lease agreements, MOUs, and trust deeds.
- Commercial Compliance: Draft and validate commercial contracts to ensure legal compliance and protect the organization from breach-related ramifications.
- Stakeholder Support: Provide legal guidance to internal departments, zonal offices, and sister concerns on diverse legal issues.
- Liaison: Interact with government and non-government authorities regarding legal and regulatory requirements.
Eligibility
- Qualification: Law Graduate / Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a reputed college or university.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably within the education industry.
- Expertise: A balanced background in active court practice and corporate legal environments.
