Details of the Job/Internship

Godrej Industries Group is hiring for the position of General Manager Legal with 10-15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Management & Documentation

• Review, draft, and finalize agreements across group companies (including tax considerations).
• Ensure timely execution of contracts and maintain a centralized repository of agreements and documents.
• Develop MIS for contract management with renewal alerts via Lexcare.

Intellectual Property (IPR)

• Oversee patents, trademarks, oppositions, and renewals.
• Maintain updated IPR records and coordinate with business teams.
• Drive strategic protection of IP assets across group entities.

Statutory Compliance

• Conduct factory audits to ensure compliance across manufacturing units.
• Maintain statutory licenses and update regulatory requirements in coordination with plants/HR.
• Monitor compliance using Lexcare, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Litigation & Recovery

• Manage complex litigation (indirect tax, arbitration, NCLT, civil, and criminal matters).
• Coordinate with finance/business teams to track and recover dues.
• Maintain litigation MIS and provide timely updates to leadership.

Land Management

• Manage purchase, leasing, and monetization of land for business purposes.
• Maintain updated land records, conduct surveys, and align with government records.
• Build a comprehensive repository of land-related documentation.

Secretarial & Governance

• Manage Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, AGMs, and ensure compliance with Listing Regulations and SEBI norms.
• Oversee mergers & acquisitions, ensuring robust secretarial and governance frameworks.

Eligibility

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Company Secretary qualification (preferred).

Experience

• 10–15 years in corporate legal roles, preferably in manufacturing or diversified group companies.
• Proven track record in managing multi-entity legal and compliance frameworks.
