Details of the Job/Internship

Godrej Agrovet is hiring a General Manager – Legal with 10–15 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, standardize, and finalize agreements for group companies and ensure timely execution.
• Maintain a central repository of executed agreements and legal documents and manage MIS through Lexcare.
• Oversee patent and trademark filings, oppositions, and renewals, and maintain updated IPR records.
• Conduct statutory factory audits and coordinate with plant and HR teams for regulatory updates.
• Monitor statutory compliance through the Lexcare tool with high accuracy.
• Lead legal actions for recovery of dues and manage related notices and proceedings.
• Coordinate with finance and business teams to track and recover outstanding amounts.
• Manage litigation, including indirect tax, arbitration, NCLT, civil, and criminal matters.
• Handle land monetization, land purchase/lease for business purposes, and maintain land records.
• Conduct surveys and ensure alignment with government records and maintain land MIS.
• Manage secretarial matters including Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, AGMs, Listing Regulations, and SEBI compliances.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, document management, and legal governance processes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Company Secretary qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in manufacturing or multi-entity group setups.
• Experience in managing large-scale legal operations and compliance frameworks.
