Details of the Job/Internship

Native has been tasked with recruiting a General Manager Legal for a conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work independently as an Individual Contributor.
• Handle legal matters related to Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
• Provide legal counsel and support on various corporate transactions.
• Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and due diligence reports.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance.
• Assist in negotiating and finalizing deals and agreements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in laws affecting M&A activities.
• Any other legal tasks assigned by the management.

Eligibility

• Minimum of 9-12 years of experience in practicing law, with a focus on specialized contracts.
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of contract law and relevant legal regulations.
• Proven track record of handling complex contract negotiations and resolving legal issues.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with clients from diverse industries and sectors.
• Law degree from a recognized institution.
• Membership in the relevant bar association or legal governing body.
• Any additional certifications or specialized training in contract law is a plus.
