Details of the Job/Internship
They are seeking applications for the Post of General Manager - Property Legal Specialist to provide guidance and documentation for all aspects of their real-estate business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the legal function of the group including due diligence of link documents, and agreements related to property transactions, providing legal advice and support to internal stakeholders, and ensuring that all property-related activities comply with legal regulations and requirements. Besides the above supporting the group in various contract vetting; and giving guidance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on property transactions, contracts, and agreements
- Draft and review legal documents related to property transactions, including agreements of sale, sale deeds, property registrations, lease agreements, purchase agreements, and deeds
- Manage legal due diligence processes for property transactions, including reviewing title reports and conducting property inspections
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations and requirements related to property transactions, including zoning laws, environmental regulations, and property tax laws
- Ensuring compliance with Real Estate Regulatory Authority, GHMC, HMDA, DTCP, Electricity Board, Pollution Board, and other requirements.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings related to property disputes, such as landlord-tenant disputes or property damage claims
- Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and real estate, to ensure that all property-related activities comply with legal requirements
- Stay up-to-date on changes to property laws and regulations that may impact the company's operations
- Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility
- LLB or above degree from an accredited law school
- 10+ years of experience in property law preferably in a real estate firm, including experience drafting and reviewing property-related contracts and agreements
- Knowledge of property laws and regulations, including zoning laws, environmental regulations, and property tax laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
