Details of the Job/Internship

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) is hiring a General Manager – Legal & Secretarial with 10–15 years of experience to lead and manage the legal and secretarial functions across its group companies, including Astec Lifesciences, Godrej Foods, Creamline Dairy, and Godrej Cattle Genetics.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead legal and secretarial functions across all GAVL group companies.
• Review, standardize, and finalize contracts and agreements.
• Maintain a centralized repository for executed legal documents and manage MIS through Lexcare.
• Oversee and protect company intellectual property, including patents and trademarks.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all manufacturing units.
• Conduct factory audits and manage compliance documentation.
• Handle litigation, including indirect tax, arbitration, NCLT, civil, and criminal matters.
• Manage land-related activities, including acquisition, leasing, monetization, and record maintenance.
• Oversee secretarial functions such as board and committee meetings, AGMs, SEBI and listing compliances.
• Provide strategic legal support to management on governance and business operations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM).
• Company Secretary qualification preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in manufacturing or group company setups.
• Experience managing multi-entity legal operations and compliance frameworks.
• Strong expertise in corporate law, IPR, statutory compliance, and secretarial governance.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in legal MIS tools and document management systems.
