Johnson Controls is hiring a Government Relations Leader – Business Development with experience of 10+ years to join their office in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement government relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, regulatory bodies, and public sector stakeholders.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting smart buildings, energy efficiency, HVAC, fire safety, and security systems.
• Advocate for policies and incentives supporting sustainable building solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams, including Big 4 firms, to identify and facilitate public sector opportunities.
• Support tendering processes and public-private partnerships.
• Represent the organisation at industry forums and government consultations.
• Ensure compliance with lobbying laws and ethical standards.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports, and stakeholder presentations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or policy advocacy, preferably in infrastructure, energy, or technology sectors.
• Strong understanding of Indian regulatory frameworks and government procurement processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to influence policy and build strategic alliances.
