- We're looking for a highly experienced Group Legal Counsel to join our team in Pune. This role is crucial for managing a broad spectrum of commercial agreements and legal matters, ensuring our operations align with internal policies and global regulatory standards.
- What You'll Do
- As our Group Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Independently structure, draft, vet, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of commercial service contracts, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), consulting agreements, independent contractor agreements, employment agreements, software license agreements, and software reseller agreements.
- Global Contracting: Lead contracting and negotiation efforts with extensive exposure to US and India markets, and preferably across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the African Continent.
- Compliance & Archiving: Ensure all negotiated contracts comply with internal policies and standards. Oversee the finalization of contracts, signature collection, and proper archiving within our contracts database.
- Dispute Resolution: Assess commercial disputes and claims, providing concise summaries to legal and business decision-makers.
- Litigation Management (Preferred): Manage litigation processes and effectively interact with insurance carriers, outside counsel, and opposing counsel.
- Internal Legal Support: Provide day-to-day legal support to internal functions such as HR, Admin, Finance, and Visa Cell.
- Training & Ad-Hoc Matters: Conduct training seminars for employees on legal topics and handle other legal matters as needed.
Eligibility
- Experience: Typically 10-16 years of relevant experience, with a strong background or basic knowledge in commercial service contracts.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent experience.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Proven ability to manage a team and ensure timely delivery of work within prescribed timelines.
- Problem-Solving: A cooperative and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight schedules.
- Work Ethic: Strong ability to work independently, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Communication: Fluent and effective communication skills in English.
