Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate – GST Litigation with 0–4 years of experience to join their office in Chandigarh.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in responding to departmental enquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Prepare replies to show cause notices and audit responses.
- Attend hearings and meetings with tax officers as required.
- Draft tax appeals for filing before various appellate authorities and courts.
- Assist seniors in representations before judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on taxation topics.
- Manage client service delivery, ensuring quality and timely execution of assignments.
- Identify technical and risk issues in client matters.
- Develop commercial acumen and stay updated on business and legal trends.
- Network internally to identify opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Contribute to knowledge management and stay abreast of developments in tax laws.
Eligibility
- CA or LLB from a reputed institution with a strong academic record.
- 0–4 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably in GST, Customs, or related areas.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Reliable and detail-oriented.
