Details of the Job/Internship

Tata Electronics Private Limited is hiring an IP Lead with 10–15 years of experience to join their office in Gujarat, Assam, Tamil Nadu, or Karnataka.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full IP lifecycle, including invention disclosure, filing, and prosecution.
• Stabilize the innovation culture and manage ideation to monetization initiatives.
• Draft high-quality patent specifications and formulate potential invention documents.
• Coordinate with external IP counsel, examiners, and patent offices for portfolio management.
• Advise R&D teams and leadership on IP landscapes, strategies, risks, and opportunities.
• Evaluate new inventions for patentability and monitor competitor IP activities.
• Conduct weekly analysis of patent journals and manage oppositions in all jurisdictions.
• Develop internal IP policies and conduct awareness programs or inventor training.

Eligibility

• Mandatory Law degree (LLB) with a BE / B.Tech in Engineering.
• 10–15 years of total professional experience in Intellectual Property.
• Strong foundation in patent drafting and prosecution in India and international jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience with FER responses, patentability assessments, and claim strategy.
• Proven experience in corporate environments, preferably R&D-driven or technology-heavy.
• Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent is preferred.
