Details of the Job/Internship

Trident Group India is seeking for a highly experienced and dynamic individual to join their team as the Head of Legal & Compliance for their Budhni location.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement legal strategies and policies to safeguard the interests of the company and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Provide legal counsel and guidance to management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues including contracts, corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property, and litigation.
3. Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the interests of the company and minimize legal exposure.
4. Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company's operations in Budhni and advise stakeholders accordingly.
5. Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, including engaging external counsel when necessary, and represent the company in legal proceedings.
6. Lead and oversee compliance initiatives, including the development and implementation of compliance programs, training, and monitoring activities.
7. Conduct internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify compliance risks and implement effective controls and processes to mitigate such risks.
9. Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, legal counsels, and industry associations.

Eligibility

1. LLB degree from a recognized institution is required. LL.M would be preferred.
2. Minimum 12 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, with a strong emphasis on litigation, compliance, and contract management, preferably in the manufacturing or related industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of Indian laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing sector, with a strong understanding of commercial and corporate law.
4. Proven track record of providing strategic legal advice and managing legal matters effectively, with a focus on litigation, compliances, and contracts.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve organizational goals.
8. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
