Details of the Job/Internship
ALCON Group is hiring for the position of Head Legal & Compliance with 10 years of experience to join their office in Goa.
Role and Responsibilities
- In charge of developing a comprehensive compliance management strategy and overseeing its implementation.
- Ensure due diligence and pre execution review during land/property acquisition, title investigation, etc. in view of local legislation.
- Review and Execute Memorandum of Understanding, Agreement of Sale, Sale Deed, Power of Attorney, Procurement agreements, Non Disclosure Agreements, Conveyance deeds, Lease deeds, society formation, RERA compliance and any other legal documentation as required.
- Advise the management & various departments of the company on all legal compliances, Industrial Relations and Administrative issues.
- Identify and engage external legal counsels and consultants as per business needs
- In coordination with the external legal counsels and consultants, represent the company / management before administrative, Government, legal and other regulatory authorities and also the clients as and when required including hearing of court cases and follow-up action.
- Review reports, assess compliance risks, legal irregularities, and various regulatory gaps, and provide guidance to the concerned for viable solutions to different compliance issues.
- Prepare legal / compliance / administrative reports as required and forward to appropriate authorities and company management, as required, in a time bound manner.
Eligibility
- University degree in Law with a focus on compliance and risk management is preferred.
- Registered as an advocate with Bar Council of India.
- Proven experience as Head Legal & Compliance for 10 years or more.
- Good knowledge on operations in construction industry and related issues.
- Good exposure in Land and Construction specific legislation and other relevant laws.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent coordination and liaison skills.
