Details of the Job/Internship
Gentari is hiring for the position of Head, Legal & Compliance with experience of 10 years to join their office in Jakarta.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues, including corporate, commercial, employment, and intellectual property law;
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including but not limited to NDAs, service agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Shareholders Agreement, Co-Development Agreements and vendor contracts;
- Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws;
- Assist with current ongoing M&A projects which include review and drafting of various transaction documents, liaising with internal stakeholders and external counsel;
- Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices;
- Provide legal advice and support to various departments on a wide range of legal;
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics, such as compliance, data protection, and contract management;
- Assist in engagement with regulators for license applications and approvals to ensure the business is fully compliant with local laws.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in law or related from an accredited law school;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department;
- Strong analytical and research skills, complemented by keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities;
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and remain solution-oriented;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills;
- Exhibits high ethical standards and unwavering integrity;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and responsible, with the ability to work independently without needing micromanagement.
Salary/Stipend
