Details of the Job/Internship

Mahasurya Ventures India Pvt Ltd. is hiring for the position of Head Legal - Middle East with 15+ years of experience to join their office in Pune.

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Strategy:

• Provide actionable legal advice on business issues related to crane and Project EPC operations.
• Analyze legal implications and develop strategies to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis of legal cases and recommend suitable legal actions.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

• Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including civil, criminal, arbitration, and consumer disputes.
• Draft and vet legal documents, including writs, petitions, SLPs, and appeals.
• Coordinate with external counsel, including Jr. and Sr. advocates, for representation in courts and tribunals.

Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate Crane and Project EPC contracts, agreements, and MOUs.
• Ensure legal soundness of contracts and align them with business objectives.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Maintain statutory records and manage regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
• Monitor changes in applicable laws and implement necessary updates.
• 5. Land Law Compliance:
• Oversee legal compliance for various properties owned or leased by the company.
• Update stakeholders on statutory compliance on a quarterly basis.

KSA/Middle East Legal Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of KSA and Middle Eastern laws, including labour, RTO, and corporate laws.
• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, including joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements, and M&A arrangements.
• Manage litigation in KSA, coordinate with local counsel, and ensure compliance with local laws.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM from a reputed institution (CS qualification preferred).
• 15+ years of legal experience, with exposure to multi-jurisdictional legal matters.
• Strong expertise in corporate, civil, criminal, arbitration, and commercial laws.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and litigation management skills.
• Ability to handle complex legal matters independently.
• Well-networked with legal professionals and regulatory authorities.

Salary/Stipend
