Details of the Job/Internship
KULT is hiring a Head – Legal with extensive experience in leading legal, compliance, and regulatory functions to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary legal advisor to management and leadership on regulatory and business matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor, distributor, SaaS/tech, and investor agreements.
- Ensure corporate governance and compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, labor, and other laws.
- Oversee e-commerce regulations, consumer protection, IT Act, and data protection compliance.
- Manage litigation, disputes, and engagement with external counsel.
- Protect and enforce IP rights including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Lead legal aspects of equity fundraising, debt arrangements, and investor relations.
- Identify risks, draft internal policies, and conduct compliance audits and trainings.
- Build and mentor an in-house legal and compliance team.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- Significant experience in legal advisory, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contracts, disputes, and fundraising.
- Strong knowledge of e-commerce, consumer protection, IP, and financial regulations.
- Proven leadership skills in managing legal teams and stakeholders.
