Cars24 is hiring a head of compliance to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategic Compliance Leadership

• Lead the compliance function for Cars24 across India and international operations, setting strategic goals and aligning them with business objectives.
• Build, implement, and monitor a robust compliance framework tailored for a rapidly scaling business environment.

Regulatory Expertise: India & Beyond

• NBFC Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with RBI regulations for NBFCs, managing regulatory filings and audits seamlessly.
• FDI Compliance: Oversee foreign investment compliance, ensuring adherence to FDI policy limits, reporting, and approvals.

Data Privacy Champion

• Develop and enforce data privacy policies aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and global privacy standards.
• Safeguard customer and employee data through cutting-edge practices and technologies.

Industry-Specific Compliance

• Ensure Cars24 operates in full alignment with MORTH guidelines for used car dealers.
• Oversee IRDA intermediary compliance for Cars24’s insurance-related activities, ensuring adherence to all regulatory mandates.

Corporate Governance Excellence

• Manage corporate secretarial responsibilities under the Companies Act, 2013, including board meeting compliance, statutory filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with auditors to lead smooth compliance audits.

Risk Management & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across all verticals.
• Act as the company’s liaison with regulatory authorities, fostering trust and transparency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of compliance and accountability at every level.

Eligibility

• Know Compliance Like the Back of Your Hand: You have a rock-solid understanding of NBFC regulations, FDI policies, and corporate laws, and you’re always a step ahead when it comes to emerging regulations like the DPDP Act.
• Champion Data Privacy: You take customer and employee data protection seriously and are skilled in crafting policies that ensure airtight compliance with privacy laws.
• Simplify Complexity: Turn intricate regulations into clear, actionable strategies.
