Details of the Job/Internship
Poojara Telecom is hiring a compliance head with 10 years of experinece to join their Rajkot office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain regulatory policies and procedures under the Compliance Program, ensuring its effectiveness in meeting all applicable compliances.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulations prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other applicable legislation.
- Implement compliance prescriptions at branches and processes followed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of compliance requirements at all levels of the organization.
- Handle governance and compliance activities in the Banking and Financial Service-Related Industry.
- Advising management on the legal and regulatory implications of proposed new initiatives.
- Assist in regulatory inspections and handle queries from Internal and statutory auditors.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns on a periodic basis.
- Engage with regulators like RBI, MCA, and ensure timely data submissions.
- Disseminate regulations to business and support functions and provide ongoing advisory services.
- Conduct compliance testing and present compliance reports to the management.
- Handle escalated complaints and Ombudsman matters.
- Review and advise on FEMA compliance, outsourcing guidelines, vendor agreements, press releases, marketing materials, etc.
- Special projects related to regulatory approvals, M&As, due diligence, listing, governance, etc.
Eligibility
- Professional qualifications such as Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Law degree (LLB).
- 10+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in an NBFC.
- Strong analytical skills with quantitative capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trust with business partners and stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and adapts easily to change.
- Team-oriented with a strong orientation to team culture and cross-functionality.
- Ability to drive multiple projects and deliver them on time with high quality.
