Details of the Job/Internship

Poojara Telecom is hiring a compliance head with 10 years of experinece to join their Rajkot office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain regulatory policies and procedures under the Compliance Program, ensuring its effectiveness in meeting all applicable compliances.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulations prescribed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other applicable legislation.
• Implement compliance prescriptions at branches and processes followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the implementation of compliance requirements at all levels of the organization.
• Handle governance and compliance activities in the Banking and Financial Service-Related Industry.
•  Advising management on the legal and regulatory implications of proposed new initiatives.
• Assist in regulatory inspections and handle queries from Internal and statutory auditors.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns on a periodic basis.
• Engage with regulators like RBI, MCA, and ensure timely data submissions.
• Disseminate regulations to business and support functions and provide ongoing advisory services.
• Conduct compliance testing and present compliance reports to the management.
• Handle escalated complaints and Ombudsman matters.
• Review and advise on FEMA compliance, outsourcing guidelines, vendor agreements, press releases, marketing materials, etc.
• Special projects related to regulatory approvals, M&As, due diligence, listing, governance, etc.

Eligibility

• Professional qualifications such as Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or Law degree (LLB).
• 10+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in an NBFC.
• Strong analytical skills with quantitative capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish trust with business partners and stakeholders.
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and adapts easily to change.
• Team-oriented with a strong orientation to team culture and cross-functionality.
• Ability to drive multiple projects and deliver them on time with high quality.

Salary/Stipend
