Details of the Job/Internship
Vanguard is hiring a Head of Legal with 10 yEARS OF experience to join its India office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead, evaluate, and supervise the legal team, including performance management and training.
- Advise business leaders on corporate legal matters to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, regulatory filings, and legal correspondence.
- Monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory developments.
- Represent the organisation before courts, government bodies, and authorities when required.
- Manage and oversee the work of external legal counsel.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across business functions.
- Research and interpret laws and regulations impacting the organisation.
- Maintain expertise in corporate law, governance, and the investment industry.
- Participate in special projects and additional legal initiatives as assigned.
Eligibility
- Minimum ten years of relevant legal experience.
- LLB or LLM from a recognised institution.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiations, litigation, and dispute resolution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
