Details of the Job/Internship
NxtWave is hiring a Head of Legal & Compliance with 8–10 years of experience to lead corporate legal, regulatory, compliance, and secretarial functions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute legal strategy aligned with business goals and compliance needs.
- Lead legal risk mitigation and provide strategic inputs to the board and CXOs.
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-value contracts, including MSAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, licensing, leases, and LOIs.
- Establish a standardized, tech-enabled contract lifecycle management process.
- Ensure corporate secretarial compliance under the Companies Act, 2013, including Board, General, and Committee meetings.
- Support fundraising due diligence, documentation (SHA, SSA, term sheets), and investor compliance under FEMA and FDI regulations.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the EdTech, education, and fintech sectors.
Eligibility
- Mandatory: LLB and Company Secretary (CS) qualification from a reputed institution.
- 8–10 years of experience in corporate legal, secretarial, and compliance roles, preferably in startups or high-growth companies.
- Prior experience in fundraising, due diligence, IPOs, and commercial negotiations preferred.
