Details of the Job/Internship

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is hiring for the position of Head of Legal & Compliance with 15 years of experience to join their office in Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation

• Advise management on complex, unclear, or high-risk legal issues impacting business decisions.
• Evaluate and mitigate legal risks in transactions, operations, and regulatory matters.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws.
• Oversee compliance frameworks, investigations, and mitigation measures.
• Manage Annual General Meetings, Board meetings, and Audit Committee meetings, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution

• Oversee all civil, criminal, industrial, and trade-related litigations.
• Partner with external counsel, review complex documents, prepare cases, and represent the company as needed.
• Lead resolution of audit-related disputes to minimize business impact.

Corporate & Transactional Support

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Provide legal support for M&A, tribunals, settlements, and policy matters.
• Engage with government and regulatory bodies on compliance and strategic initiatives.

Eligibility

• Education: LL.B. from a reputed law school/university; Company Secretary qualification preferred.
• Experience: 15+ years in corporate legal, compliance, company secretariat, manufacturing, consumer goods, or regulatory affairs.
• Proven expertise in:
• Compliance management for listed companies.
• Litigation and dispute resolution.
• Corporate governance and board advisory.
• Regulatory and government engagement.
• M&A, audit, and transactional legal work.

Salary/Stipend
