Details of the Job/Internship

Mamla Karo is hiring a Head of Legal Operations with 6+ years of experience to join them in Remote mode.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to the executive team, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Oversee the creation and review of key legal documents, including terms and conditions, privacy policies, and user agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Build and expand Mamla Karo’s network by onboarding skilled advocates.
• Manage the advocate onboarding process, including KYC verification and compliance checks.
• Oversee and streamline legal operations, delegating routine tasks to team members.
• Conduct compliance audits to ensure the company meets all regulatory requirements.
• Guide the product team on legal compliance in new product features and updates.
• Research legal topics and simplify complex legal jargon for content creators.
• Validate and approve content to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
• Write SEO-friendly blogs to drive organic traffic and position Mamla Karo as a thought leader.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing legal team.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
• Represent Mamla Karo in investor meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive funding and partnerships.
• Provide updates on legal operations and compliance to the executive team.
• Oversee document dispatch, resolve service delivery issues, and address advocate-related challenges.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all legal operations.

Eligibility

• At least 6+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate law, or litigation.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory.

Salary/Stipend
