Allianz Services is hiring for the position of Head of Legal with 10-15 years of experience to join their office in Trivandrum.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on a broad range of legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s legal strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Oversee and mentor teams handling legal, corporate governance, and contract management matters to ensure consistent, high-quality legal support.
• Act as the primary legal liaison for internal departments, regional legal teams, and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement policies, SOPs, templates, and legal processes to enhance efficiency and minimize risk.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including employment law, anti-bribery, anti-fraud, data privacy, and commercial regulations.
• Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory proceedings, including coordination with external counsel.
• Support M&A transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and other corporate initiatives.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments and provide timely risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee a robust end-to-end contract management lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational risk parameters.
• Manage the legal budget, team performance, hiring, and functional resilience.
• Lead internal legal awareness initiatives and policy governance efforts.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized institution; LL.M. preferred.
• 10–15 years of post-qualification experience, including substantial leadership experience in in-house legal roles, preferably in IT/ITES sectors.
• Proven expertise in commercial contracts, litigation, employment laws, anti-corruption frameworks, data protection, and dispute resolution.
• Experience balancing legal risk with commercial objectives in fast-paced, complex environments.

Salary/Stipend
