Details of the Job/Internship
Ashiana Housing Limited is hiring for the position of Head of Legal with 8-12 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- DTCP & Regulatory Compliance: Manage all approvals, permits, and processes related to the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP). Act as the primary liaison for ensuring adherence to relevant statutory guidelines.
- Land Research & Acquisition Support: Conduct detailed market research on land pricing, availability, and strategic opportunities. Build and leverage a reliable network of land brokers and intermediaries to identify and pursue acquisition prospects.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, local authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth project approvals and regulatory clearances.
- Litigation & Legal Risk Management: Monitor ongoing legal matters including disputes and litigation. Coordinate with external counsel, ensure timely resolution, and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Contract Review: Draft, vet, and review a wide range of legal documents including agreements, contracts, deeds, and MOUs, ensuring compliance and protecting the organization’s interests.
- Advisory to Leadership: Provide strategic legal input and updates to senior management on regulatory matters, project feasibility, and land acquisition transactions.
Eligibility
- Experience: 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the real estate sector.
- Education: Degree in Law (LLB); Additional qualifications in property law or real estate law will be an advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Haryana real estate laws and DTCP regulations.
- Experience handling legal compliance, documentation, and land-related litigation.
- Proactive, meticulous, and able to manage time-sensitive matters independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functions.
