Details of the Job/Internship
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Legal at AstaGuru in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
The Head of Legal will be responsible for overseeing legal compliance, providing legal consulting, preparing legal documents, and addressing legal issues related to the art and antique industry on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
- Identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide legal advice to senior management and various departments.
- Manage litigation and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and procedures.
- Lead and mentor the legal team, fostering professional development.
- Work with external counsel as needed and collaborate with other departments on legal matters.
Eligibility
- Expertise in Law and Legal Issues.
- Experience in Legal Compliance and Consulting.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of art and antique industry regulations is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field, with relevant certifications.
