Details of the Job/Internship

Essar Projects is hiring a Senior Legal Professional with over 15 years of experience to lead domestic and international litigation and arbitration matters. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead domestic and international litigation matters, including engaging lawyers, preparing case briefs, and monitoring developments.
• Participate in arbitration proceedings in Indian and international jurisdictions, including dispute resolution, implementation or defence of awards, and appeals when necessary.
• Prepare documentation relating to financing transactions in domestic and international domains.
• Develop standard templates for financing and examine hypothecation and mortgage deeds.
• Assist in execution of power of attorney and related documentation with secretarial support.
• Examine contracts and contractual provisions and provide inputs on different types of agreements.
• Modify contractual clauses as required for specific projects.
• Provide legal advisory on tax, labour, compliance, and related matters.
• Participate in contractual discussions to address disputes and recommend legal strategies.
• Draft agreements such as Share Purchase Agreements and Shareholders’ Agreements to protect commercial interests.
• Organise legal workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions within the organisation.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
• Master of Laws (LLM) preferred.
• Strong experience in litigation, arbitration, contract drafting, and legal advisory.

Salary/Stipend
