Details of the Job/Internship
Swiggy is hiring a Legal Counsel I – Compliance with 1–2 years of post-LLB experience to join their Bengaluru office. The role involves handling compliance functions, audits, risk assessments, policy implementation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Employees will work from the Bengaluru office 2–3 days a week and remotely on other days.
Role and Responsibilities
- Facilitate acquisition of compliance certificates, licenses, NOCs, registrations, and other required documents.
- Audit and implement compliance policies.
- Support legal and business stakeholders on compliance issues and transactions, including conflict of interest, high-risk payments, segregation of duties, and statutory compliance reporting.
- Organize and deliver compliance training and promote a culture of integrity.
- Contribute to developing and implementing new compliance policies.
- Interface with internal auditors to address significant matters.
- Prepare MIS reports and report compliance using the Compliance Tool.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with peers, stakeholders, external counsels, and consultants.
- Willingness to travel for official work.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory.
- 1–2 years of experience in compliance functions, including audit, risk assessment, and mitigation.
- Additional diplomas or certifications in compliance-related courses will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of applicable laws, especially those related to food, legal metrology, APMC, drugs and cosmetics, insecticides, logistics, e-commerce, internet, and technology.
- Ability to work across diverse and cross-functional teams.
- Sound judgment, maturity, and expertise in handling compliance-related issues.
