Jagran Lakecity University Bhopal, a private university established under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, is Central India’s Global University, is based in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. JLU Bhopal, currently offering 50+ degree programs to more than 2500 students from 8 countries and 27 states of the country, is one of the fastest growing and one of the most awarded universities of Central India having practice-based pedagogy at its core.
The Faculty of Law was established as part of Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal in the year 2014. The Faculty of Law is one of the most premium global law schools in Central India.
The JLU Centre for Constitutional Law & Human Rights (JLU CCLHR) is a research initiative within the Faculty of Law at Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal. Established with a profound commitment to the principles of human rights and constitutional law, the centre plays a pivotal role in cultivating and fostering a culture of rigorous research. Its primary objective is to delve into the intricacies of human rights and constitutional law, promoting a deeper understanding of these crucial themes.
Details of the Conference/Seminar
The JLU Centre for Constitutional Law and Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, will be organising the II JLUCCLHR International Conference, 2025 on the theme, “Evaluating Constitutionalism and Its Application in Global Governance for Securing Human Rights” in a hybrid mode, scheduled for May 1st and 2nd, 2025.
Eligibility
- Students (Law or related discipline), or,
- Academician/professor in law or related discipline, or,
- Legal researcher, or,
- Lawyer and/,
- Other scholars in related disciplines of research and training, to be eligible to participate in the Conference.
Note: The conference allows the participation of a cross-institution team.

Call for Papers
The Conference invites research papers that delve into various facets of the overarching theme, 'Evaluating Constitutionalism and its application in Global Governance for securing Human Rights.' Participants are encouraged to explore topics aligned with this central theme, and while not limited to these areas, the sub-themes serve as guiding areas of focus.
These sub-themes encompass diverse dimensions within the broader context of human rights in an evolving society.
- Constitutionalism and SDGs.
- Constitutionalism and Fundamental Rights.
- Comparative Constitutionalism on Criminal Justice System.
- Constitutionalism and Social Justice.
- Constitutionalism and Artificial Intelligence and Technology Law.

- Any other allied topic relating to the main theme of the conference.
The listed themes are merely indicative, the candidates are free to choose any other subject resonating with the concept of Human Rights and Constitutional Values.

Abstract
- Word limit: 500 words.
- Author(s) should mention the following details on the front page of the file containing the abstract:

- Font & Font Size: Times New Roman, 12; Line spacing: 1.5; Alignment: ‘justify’.

Final Manuscript
- Length of full paper: Maximum 3500-7000 words (excluding footnotes).

- Font type: Times New Roman; Font Size: 10; line spacing: 1.
- The citations must conform to the Bluebook 21st edition/Harvard citation.
- It is not permitted to provide any information in the footnotes that is not related to the identification of an authority or source. Footnotes must not include additional legal arguments.
- Endnotes are not permitted.

- Research Scholars & Students (Sole Authorship): INR 500.
- Research Scholars & Students (Co-Authorship): INR 400 per author.
- Academicians & Legal Professionals: INR 1000.
- Academicians & Legal Professionals (Co-Authorship): INR 800 per author.
- For JLU Students (Sole & Co- Authorship): INR 500.
For Participants:

For Foreign Presenters:
- Sole Authorship: USD 20.
- Co-Authorship: USD 40 (USD 20 per author).
Note:
- Candidates presenting at the university premises shall bear their own travel and accommodation expenses.
- While the University will not provide any accommodation, we will be happy to help and assist presenters in identifying suitable lodging options.
Awards
- Best Presentation: Trophy and prize money of 5, 000 INR.
- 2nd Best Presentation: Trophy and prize money of 2, 500 INR.
- Certificate of Merit for the Top 10 Entries.
Publication - Selected manuscripts will be published in the form of an edited book bearing an ISBN no. with a reputed publisher.
