Details of the Job/Internship
BorderPass is hiring a full-time Immigration Lawyer licensed in Quebec to support Canadian immigration matters for international students and foreign workers.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal review, strategy, and oversight on Canadian immigration matters.
- Handle Quebec-specific immigration processes and federal student and worker pathways.
- Review and validate immigration application materials prepared through the BorderPass platform.
- Communicate with clients regarding requirements, timelines, and next steps.
- Collaborate with internal legal, operations, and product teams to improve workflows.
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial immigration regulations and professional obligations.
- Contribute to the development of scalable legal processes in a technology-enabled environment.
Eligibility
- Licensed lawyer in good standing with the Barreau du Québec.
- Fully bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Experience advising on Canadian immigration law, including student and worker streams.
- Familiarity with Quebec-specific immigration requirements and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.
- Client-focused approach with strong communication skills.
- Interest in working within a technology-driven legal services platform.
