Details of the Job/Internship
IRIS Software Inc. is hiring for the position of Immigration Specialist with 0-5 years of experience to join their office in Noida.
Role and Responsibilities
U.S. Immigration
- Manage H-1B visa lifecycle: CAP filing, extensions, amendments, and transfers.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for other U.S. visa types including F-1, L-1, H4, L2, and EAD renewals.
- Handle Public Access Files (PAFs), RFE responses, and FDNS site visits to ensure full compliance with U.S. immigration regulations.
- Collaborate with external attorneys and internal HR/Recruitment teams on visa strategy and application timelines.
- Track visa expirations and initiate timely renewals in HRIS platforms (preferably LawLogix/SAP).
Canada Immigration
- Advise on Intra-Company Transfers (ICT) and LMIA-based work permits.
- Prepare and submit documentation to IRCC and ESDC.
- Guide stakeholders through work permit processes: open permits, employer-specific, and spousal/dependent permits.
- Support document collection, accuracy checks, and timely filing for all Canadian immigration matters.
General Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on changing immigration laws and provide timely updates.
- Maintain accurate records and case details; ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable immigration regulations.
- Provide internal consultations and coordinate with third-party legal counsel when needed.
- Monitor case progress and proactively communicate next steps to all stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution (Legal, HR, or related field preferred).
- 0–5 years of experience in U.S./Canada immigration, preferably within:
- A law firm (as a paralegal or legal assistant)
- An in-house legal/HR team with significant immigration case volume
- A recruiting or compliance function with deep immigration process involvement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with HRIS/immigration software (LawLogix, SAP) is a plus.
