Details of the Job/Internship

VIYONA Fintech India Private Limited is hiring an In-House Advocate with 5–12 years of experience to manage legal, regulatory and compliance matters across its fintech and payments ecosystem. The role involves close collaboration with business, product and compliance teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Interpret, implement and monitor compliance with RBI, NPCI and other applicable fintech and BFSI regulations.
• Liaise with regulators, banks, NPCI and external counsel on regulatory queries, audits and inspections.
• Support internal compliance programmes, policies, SOPs and regulatory reporting.
• Track regulatory updates and assess their impact on business operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage vendor, service, bank, partner, payment gateway and NPCI-related agreements.
• Handle NDAs, SLAs, MSAs and employment-related documents.
• Ensure contracts align with regulatory requirements and organisational risk appetite.
• Manage litigation, legal notices, consumer complaints and regulatory communications.
• Coordinate with external advocates and law firms.
• Support corporate governance, board matters and statutory compliance.
• Assist with policy formulation, risk management and internal legal controls.
• Provide practical legal advice to senior management on business decisions.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with an LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognised university.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in fintech, payments, BFSI or regulated financial institutions.
• Strong working knowledge of RBI regulations, NPCI rules, payment systems and fintech compliance.
• Experience in contracts, compliance, litigation management and corporate governance.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
