Details of the Job/Internship

Assiduus is hiring an In-House Counsel with 6-8 years of experience to join their Bengaluru office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage and organize legal filing systems, archiving, and document accessibility.
• Implement legal technologies to improve contract management and compliance tracking.
• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor agreements, NDAs, SLAs, partnership agreements, and international commercial contracts.
• Develop and update standard contract templates.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, international trade laws, and data protection regulations.
• Oversee adherence to consumer protection, labeling, product safety, and advertising laws.
• Develop and maintain internal legal policies and conduct periodic reviews.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); an LLM and/or active bar membership is a plus.
• 6-8 years of relevant experience as a legal counsel, preferably in an in-house or corporate legal department.
• Exposure to legal operations in large enterprises or marketplaces preferred.
• Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
