Details of the Job/Internship

SGS IPR Consultancy, LLP is hiring for the position of In-House Counsel with 1-4 years of experience to join their office in Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions and documentation with accuracy and clarity.
• Review investigation reports related to civil and criminal IP matters, assess evidence, and liaise with investigators and enforcement agencies.
• Plan and implement enforcement strategies (civil/criminal) against counterfeiting and other IP violations.
• Draft and manage legal notices, complaints, and pleadings; coordinate with external counsel during litigation.
• Advise internal stakeholders on IP strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor online and offline marketplaces for potential infringements and develop action plans accordingly.
• Prepare internal reports and presentations on enforcement outcomes and legal actions.

Eligibility

• LL.B degree (LL.M in IP Law is preferred but not mandatory).
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in IP litigation, enforcement, or brand protection.
• Strong understanding of Indian IP laws (Trade Marks Act, Copyright Act, etc.) and enforcement procedures.
• Hands-on experience managing raids, seizures, and litigation against counterfeiters/infringers.
• Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and courtroom skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with enforcement trends, digital platforms, and industry best practices.
