WTF Gyms is hiring for the position of In-House Counsel with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Noida.
Role and Responsibilities
Employment Agreements & Workforce Compliance
- Draft, review, and enforce legally binding employment agreements for all levels of staff, including blue-collar workers.
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, industrial acts, and business regulations.
- Establish legal policies to prevent and address employee absconding, disputes, and salary claims.
- Work closely with HR to develop ethical employment policies and procedures.
Legal Risk & Dispute Resolution
- Take immediate legal action against absconding employees, contractual breaches, and labor disputes.
- Represent the company in labor courts, arbitration, or mediation proceedings when required.
- Work with management and HR to mitigate legal risks before they escalate.
- Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits.
Contract & Business Compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate business agreements, vendor contracts, and franchise agreements.
- Ensure business compliance with all government regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Manage legal filings, labor inspections, and statutory obligations.
- Reduce dependency on external legal counsel, ultimately cutting legal costs.
Proactive Legal Advisory
- Stay updated on changes in employment law, corporate regulations, and legal best practices.
- Educate internal teams on legal rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with HR and management to implement employee-friendly yet legally strong policies.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a recognized law school.
- 5+ years of experience in employment law, labor compliance, corporate legal affairs, or business law.
- Strong expertise in Indian labor laws, contracts, business regulations, and dispute resolution.
- Experience handling workforce compliance, employee disputes, and legal documentation.
- Prior experience in retail, fitness, tech startups, or managing blue-collar workforce issues is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle legal matters independently while collaborating with HR & management.
