Details of the Job/Internship

Futwork is hiring an In-House Legal Counsel – Legal & Compliance (CS Focus) with 3–6 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage customer agreements, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, and amendments.
• Handle employee contracts, agent agreements, consultant contracts, and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain a centralized repository of legal and contractual documents.
• Ensure compliance with TRAI regulations related to calling, messaging, consent management, and customer communications.
• Track regulatory updates and recommend process or documentation changes.
• Coordinate audits, filings, and regulatory responses.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to business, Customer Success, HR, and operations teams.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support dispute resolution, escalations, and pre-litigation matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external legal counsel and manage litigation coordination.
• Support board and secretarial matters, including resolutions, minutes, statutory filings, and meetings.

Eligibility

• LLB or LLM from a recognised university.
• 3–6 years of experience as in-house counsel or with a law firm.
• Strong understanding of contract law, corporate compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience handling customer contracts and employment-related legal matters.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail with a proactive approach.

Salary/Stipend
